OMEGATRONICS I was born, Eunace Desmond Huntley, on December 11, 1978 at 3:31 a.m. in Union Regional in Monroe, North Carolina. When I was 7 I had my first taste of hip-hop on the way to church my step dad would play Slick Rick, Get Fresh Crew, and Kurtis Blow to name a few! I started out in the 4th grade rapping in front of peers for kicks. When the 6th grade came around I was then introduced to battling watching “House Party “for the first time. It was somewhat different from the battling my uncle B-Ray would do with the turn tables, but it all seem right kind of wrong coming from a preacher’s kid! After my new peers learned I could rhyme better than all the others except those I would tie up with Aaron Allen (when you come home it’s on!) and my ace Kim White who died in the 7th grade (R.I.P.) Sitting in 4th period Mrs. Harrington would kick me out of class for beating on the desk while she was teaching mine as well get it out of my system because in 6th period Mrs. Jordan was not going for any of it. I shortly after that caught a knack for instrumentals around this time Wu-Tangs first album I shouldn’t have to mention the title, but I can still remember the sound of the RZA, s samples serenading Raekwone’s Drug Slang which had a powerful impact on my life from converting to Islam to just rhyming like, man what if I made a beat that sounded like this? Now it’s my 10th grade year and all I could focus on was rapping no school work for the kid, no sir! I then started my long road to becoming who I am today. A member of my former group ‘ Dynasty” which became ‘ Illmatic Soulz” (influenced by the classic Nas Album) bought a radio Shack keyboard and made beats on it! Thinking back they were below average while to us they meant the world! Kuttie (that one member) would ask me if I wanted to make beats so much go buy a drum machine instead of tan Timberlands and fatigues. I ignored him for two years and one day it hit me. Standing in, Halloway’s, music I spotted my first drum machine ‘Fisher Price’ moment ya’ll. It was black with grey pads and a slider similar to the ones on a Akai 1000. Right across the top centered perfectly there were four letters spelling out,” ZOOM “the contraption had quite a hold on me. Everywhere I went my buddy would be tucked under my arms with a proud smile. I began with some of the god awful sounds but that was because I knew what sound I wanted but I didn’t know how to work my buddy, ( The ZOOM). I didn’t stop there I bought another ZOOM this one was a ST-224 SampleTrak. Another machine I didn’t know how to work but I was determined to learn. I learned after owning it for three years that took me so long because I had bought a MPC less than a year after owning my new St-224 which eventually started collecting dust. Like then these are the same times all over I’ve had my board for a while but now using it I’m invincible I’ve used sequencers name one I can tell you how to use it. If not leave it with me a month a come back and I’ll have it mastered! It’s kind of a trip I think ten years back and go most people expected me to be locked up or dead but I always figured I would be somewhere in a large city with articles everywhere about my accomplishments. Experience is in deed the best teacher! Thinking that you gone pick a machine up today and produce classic hip-hop for ghettos all over America to cherish tomorrow is a hyperbole best left to die. With that being said I’m not leaving the chick I had my first crush with! I’m O.M.E. for Omegatronics (CEO) since December of 1978.I made my first beat in 1998 before my 20th born date. I have always had a feel for the art (culture) but over the years it grows on me stronger and stronger. So look forward to hearing from me in this year’s catalogue of hip-hop classics. I solemnly swear to uphold hip-hop and not disrespect her, neglect her with “PMP Worldwide,” as my witness it’s to the top I go! It has been a pleasure talking to you! And if you have read all of this then you must have time on your hand. So take a couple more minutes and listen to some good, wholesome, soulful hip-hop for your listening enjoyment!
